President’s Letter

I want to start by thanking everyone who supports Victoria Art League! Thank you to our members, donors, and volunteers! September and October were extremely busy months for VAL. Our Fall Art Show was reported as the largest art show VAL has had to date and we were able to give out the largest prize on record thanks to the City of Victoria’s Hotel Tax Fund Award. The Remembrance Show was beautiful and honored artists who have paved the way for today.

We were also thrilled to be a part of the Rubber Duck Safari. It’s been so rewarding to witness the growth of Victoria Art League and it’s place in the community. Just since June, we’ve been able to purchase new technology to help us better serve our members, we’ve added programming such as the Remembrance Show, Artist Hangouts, and VAL summer camps. I’m so happy that we have a wide variety of artists from different backgrounds and different art styles joining as well! Welcome and thank you for choosing to be a part of VAL.

Christmas Bazaar & Yule Shopping Event

Are you an artist with crafts and/or arts to sell this holiday season? The Christmas Bazaar is the perfect venue for you! We are accepting vendors Thursday and Friday. This is FREE for members and only $40 for non-members. The Bazaar will run November 20th-December 18th and we are extending our hours to be Tuesday-Saturday from 1-5! We will be open from 9am-5pm November 20th! We are also very excited to be a part of Explore Victoria’s Yule Shopping Event! Come by VAL to get your stamp.

Rental Coordinator/Gallery Attendant

We are thrilled to welcome Nathan Rodriguez as our new gallery attendant and rental coordinator! Marc Hinojosa will remain the Rental Manager but Nathan can now help with booking rentals. Please stop by when you get a chance to meet Nathan and welcome him to VAL.
