Fall Art Show!
First and most important is our Fall Art Show which is going to happen this week!
We expect many entries as the Best of Show prize is $1000!!! There will be 10 $250 prizes for the 1st place winners in 10 categories.
We are so excited about the show and hope you have been preparing for some time.
The reception for the winners will be Friday evening, October 1st from 5:30-7:30pm.
Come enter – come see the show – and hopefully come accept your prize for your excellent artwork!! We want to thank the Victoria HOT funds for awarding the funds for this event!
Non-members can join and save on their membership, as well as immediately receive the member discount rate. Invite a friend to join and save!

Remembrance Show
This will be to bring artworks from your family, or artists you remember from the past and display them at the gallery.
I know many of you have friends or family that have passed on to their reward but have left beautiful pieces of art behind.
In the spirit of Dia De Los Muertos, honor their memory by bringing in their art to be displayed as we remember their friendship as well as their talent.
The reception for this show will be October 29th from 6:00-8:00

Symphony Duck Safari Race Findraiser
Buy Ducks for the November 6 Race!
Also, the Victoria Art League is one of many non-profits participating in the Symphony Duck Safari race again this year. This race will be run on November 6th.
Opportunity to support the art league by purchasing little rubber ducks to float down the Guadalupe and hopefully win a large prize!
Regardless, for each duck purchased by you, our organization will receive $1.00. Our goal this year is $500.
Last year we received a check from the symphony for $250 which was wonderful!
Christmas Bazaar 2021

The annual Christmas Bazaar is always a much anticipated event. Registration is now open. Sign up early. Locations within the venue are based on registration dates.

September Art Walk Success
The 2nd Art Walk took place September 10th with over 1000 people in attendance.
There were over 60 artists displaying their work in numerous businesses on Main and nearby streets as well as at the Victoria Art League.
It was a beautiful evening to get out and view the talent here in our town as well as some from the surrounding area. I hope you were able to make it.

We’ve seen a lot of growth in the past month! I want to sent a special thank you to members of the community who participated in our events, the volunteers who made the events a reality, and to the VAL board for being open minded to changes! Welcome new members! I am thrilled you want to be a part of the Victoria Art League. The VAL board has worked hard to ensure a fun Fall Show and we hope to see ya’ll there even if you didn’t enter art. The artists would love your support! Thank you for trusting me to lead the organization. It’s been a wonderful adventure so far! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future of Victoria Art League.
